Greetings COAA Members - Elections are coming!
Have you always wanted to support and improve the operation of the COAA, but didn't know how? Now is your chance to help our organization by stepping forward to become a candidate for one of the positions open in our upcoming January elections. These include the following openings for four year terms -
Vice President - carry out special projects, be just a heartbeat away from the Presidency
Treasurer - manage the COAA funds and bank accounts, responsible for assembling the budget and reporting financial information to the Board
Board of Directors (3 positions) - set policy and direction for the COAA. Each Director typically volunteers to oversee one or more key activities of the organization
The nominating committee, consisting of three members: Charlie Wasson, outgoing Treasurer; Mary Jo Bopp, current Secretary; Carl Cavitt, at large; Angelo Rulli, ex-officio will be pleased to receive your self-nominations as well as any suggestions you might have. Nominations may be submitted by November 15 to Mary Jo Bopp, COAA Secretary, at mjbopp1@tampa.rr.com. The nominating committee will put forward a slate of candidates by November 15 to appear in the January Journal, the voting will be completed by mail by Jan 31.
